CRITICALanalyst verified

Malware dropper (image-stego PowerShell loader). Added to CyberXYZ 2026-09-30, verified by a CyberXYZ analyst.

// what we observed

Malicious dotenv lookalike. dist/index.cjs extracts a base64 UTF-16 PowerShell payload from the APP13 segment of bundled dist/stest.jpg and runs it via a self-deleting VBS (wscript) on require(); the payload downloads https://hardwood-studio-obviously-briefing.trycloudflare.com/download/winhost to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\hello.exe and runs it hidden. Same loader as node-env-buffer (npm takedown 2026-09-22). Publisher ajbsdiansd. Verified by static analysis 2026-09-30 (CyberXYZ signal 7 slopsquat content probe).
